The subscription campaign of NUOVI EVENTI MUSICALI has begun.
Also for this year the fees will remain the same as they have been since 2003.
The first months of the year are always a key moment, surely because of the subscription campaign, but also for all the silent work made of study and planning. Friends who have supported us during these first nine years of activity are now requested to make a special effort: each contribution, even the least, will hopefully make up, at least partially, for the cuts anticipated by institutions and credit agencies because of the global economic crisis.
We are working on projects of absolute prominence: the presence of Sophia Gubaidulina (the greatest living composer), Wolfgang Rihm (one of the greatest representatives of the new school of Darmstadt, whose works are performed in the most important theatres of the world), a project for the anniversary of Felix Mendelssohn (200 years since his birth), a memory of Mauricio Kagel featuring Sonia Bergamasco, the music for the official ceremony for Galileo in S. Croce, Paolo Hendel's original version of Peter and the Wolf by Prokofiev.
Maybe it will be impossible to honour all of these commitments, which are objectively prominent for Florence and for Tuscany, but with everyone close to us it will surely be easier.
