The association "Nuovi Eventi Musicali" was born in Firenze in 2002, thanks to five young Florentine musicians. The "Nuovi Eventi Musicali" team, anyway, started to operate in 2000, with the support of public institutions (from Comune di Fiesole to Regione Toscana) and many friends, like the founding members Luciano Alberti and Giuseppe Mazzocolin. Some of the artists that played for the association are: Valery Polyansky, Alexander Ivashkin, Mikhail Kopelman, Irina Schnittke, Pier Narciso Masi, Boris Berman, Mstislav Rostropovich, Gonzalo Rubalcaba. In six years of activity the association organized more than 150 events.
